Shipping Birds and Fish
Wrap birds with head tucked under wing
in layers of newspaper
and plastic.
Wrap fish in a wet towel then inside plastic.
Freeze bird/fish solid.
Place in heavy cardboard box or in an old cooler (you can pick
up an old cooler at a yard sale for a couple dollars.)
Pack newspaper or Styrofoam around bird/fish for insulation.
If you have room in the freezer place cooler back into freezer
overnight.
Ship box/cooler by next day delivery on a Monday or Tuesday only.
Call the shop and leave a message so we can be expecting it.
Game Animals
Animal Hides should be packed Frozen
into a cooler and shipped
with dry Ice overnight to the shop address. Call and leave a
message
so we will be expecting the package.
Salted and drained hides can be shipped by regular ground delivery.
Cervids taken in a CWD State
Deer, Elk, (cervids) killed in a state
or country that has been certified
to have tested positive for CWD must not have any brain or spinal
matter attached. Antlers should have just the scull cap attached.
Hides free of meat can be shipped into Kentucky from a CWD state.
